Having been a member off and on since 1984, I will not continue to support them. I guess they made me feel like all I am is a walking dollar sign again unlike other venues who have extended courtesy to pass holders. I have lost pretty much a year of my pass and I will not renew. Not only were they closed but living in Mass we have not been able to visit due to restrictions. When we called and asked if they could extend our pass as other places have done such as Sturbridge Village they said no. WE had renewed our pass in January and Covid hit in early March. Well Covid hit and I realize that everyone is hurting including seniors on a fixed income. We took my grandkids frequently and drive an hour to get there. I WAS a member for many years off and on depending on the amount of children in my family. I wonder when I see things like Amazing Covid Response. There are also many volunteers/employees stationed throughout the zoo, to monitor the flow of pedestrian traffic and answer questions.įor families with children, this is an excellent way to spend half of a day, and I would suggest spending the balance of the day in Roger Williams Park, where we enjoyed strolling the Japanese Garden and took a swan boat ride in the pond. Walkways are all one-way, so you're never facing large swaths of guests walking in your direction, and the pathways have painted notations indicating where one should stand to allow for social distancing. Admission is timed to allow for spacing of guests, although you can stay in the zoo for as long as you like after entry. My 7 year old daughter loved this zoo, which boasts a wide array of animals in what mostly seem to be spacious enclosures.Īmidst covid, our experience was expectedly different, but we were hugely impressed by the efforts the zoo has undertaken to ensure guest safety.
